One of the staples of Techno Production is that hard-hitting, bass-heavy “Reverb Kick”. The sound is often used in darker subgenres like industrial techno and hard techno. It can often be heard in clubs such as Berghain and Tresor. It can be hard to figure out how to make the sound unless you have someone to show you. That’s why we decided to make this article. The good news is that the sound is not actually that hard to make. As the name suggests, the sound is produced by controlling the reverb of a kick that is set to 100% wet. Using your stock Reverb is perfectly fine to make the sound, however, different reverbs can produce different sounds. That’s why it’s fun to play with the different Reverbs you have in your arsenal.
